CBD (Copy Bad Disk) is specialized software that recovers data from damaged media. When standard copying fails with errors like 'Cannot read from the source file,' CBD intelligently skips unreadable bad sectors and continues copying the rest of the file. This prevents the process from hanging or failing. You can choose to skip a single problematic file, all bad files, or speed up recovery by ignoring more sectors after a bad block. A detailed log file records the positions of unreadable bytes, which are filled with zeros in the new copy.
